This year has been a trying time for all of us. The impacts of a pandemic and social unrest have been stressful, to say the least. However, there are parts of our world where people still can't just go to the faucet or the fridge for a glass of water. Many of us complain about wearing a mask, and sometimes a package from Amazon that I don't need is late. All the while, many villagers in Africa are forced to walk miles to get water for their families, braving tough conditions and potential abduction to do so. And then they'll do it again tomorrow.
Just as I did a couple years ago, I'm running with Hope Water to raise funds for building wells in these villages. About $15,000 is enough to build a well, and just as importantly, train the villagers to maintain it (i.e. "teach them to fish"). Hundreds of these wells have been built, but Africa is a big place!
If you're able to contribute, we'd definitely appreciate it!
