Campaign: Detroit Marathon

MIchael Matthews

Now is the time whe my training is at it's peak. Getting up at 5:30 during the week to train...Run. Running up to 27 miles per week. My body is feeling fatigued and tired.
But the reason I'm doing this is not about me. I am running, participating with Hope Water International to raise money for the Polkot tribe in Western Kenya.
Because of a lack of drinking water, the Polkot struggle to survive.
-Having to walk 3-6 miles per day for water. (Dirty water) THe Polkot have one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world, because of the dirty water they are forced to drink.
But there is hope, Hope Water has drilled over a hundred wells, bringing clea water to tens of thousands of people.
They have made a difference, and together we can make a difference.
