After seeing God make a pretty amazing transformation in my life, going from 270 lbs and walking to 155 lbs and running within a year, I want to use what God has done to bless others. I didn't do that journey alone, my wife was a pretty huge part of that journey, and without her by my side and leading the way I don't think I would have made it. She has also been an inspiration to me since completing the half-marathon last year and raising money for wells in Africa.

This year I'm joining the effort to bring clean water, to bring life, to those in desperate need in villages in Sierra Leone Africa. I've taken a leap of faith by signing up for the full marathon, 26.2 miles, and raising at least $1000 towards wells. The longest I've ran to date is around 6.5 miles, so jumping to a full marathon and adding 20 miles is a pretty big leap. I know that through the support of the Hope Water Community, my running partners, and God's strength I can do this!

I'm hoping and praying that there will be many with a passion to support me in bringing water to those in need.
