MY MISSION:
Living with unlimited access to water at times is taken for granted where in most areas of the world, water is inaccessible. For the people in Africa such as areas of Kenya, Uganda, Sierra and Liberia travel many miles in the hot, humid and dry air to find water and usually that water is contaminated. They then must walk those many miles back to their community while carrying a heavy jug of contaminated water. My mission is to raise enough funds to help build a Well within these communities to provide clean, fresh water which also then brings medicine, health, education, happiness and life!

MY GOALS:
Being a part of Hope Water International, a team of runners, bikers and triathletes, I was able to run my first half-marathon (13.1 miles) in January 2019 at the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon. Prior to that I would never consider running a half marathon, so this was a big accomplishment for me. Running that far was the farthest I ever ran and did end up walking at times during the race. This year I plan to take on three half marathons with the goal and determination to run every single mile. I will be taking on these half marathons within the next 6 months:

1. McLaren Brooksie Way Half Marathon, Sunday September 22, 2019
Rochester Hills, MI
2. Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon, Sunday October 20, 2019
Detroit, MI
3. Walt Disney World Half Marathon, Saturday January 11, 2020
Orlando, FL

MY TRAINING:
I have been training a great deal this summer and the more I train the longer distances I run and realize how important water intake is. Especially on these hot days running long distances without enough water, I feel my muscles begin to cramp, my stomach begins to turn, my breathing becomes erratic and feel I need to just give up. But then that makes me think of my mission and my goals.

Please help to support me and my fundraising efforts, even $5.00 will be appreciated!
